Generosity
We believe that if Jesus Changes Everything, He also deserves everything we have. This year, we are following God’s lead by launching Giving 20/20—a bold yet simple initiative to cultivate generosity and make an impact locally and globally.
An Invitation to
Radical Generosity.
At the heart of the Overflow movement is the greatest truth in human history: Jesus Changes Everything. As we seek to become a devoted and winsome generation, one key aspect of our devotion is the spiritual practice of financial generosity.
God calls His people to give through the tithe in the Old Testament, Jesus' teachings, and the radical generosity of the early church. Yet, giving can feel challenging in a culture that idolizes money and amid real concerns about financial mismanagement in churches. We believe that generosity is, first and foremost, a matter of discipleship, trusting in God’s provision more than anything else.
So, our bold ask, is for you to begin giving $40 per month towards the Giving 20/20 initiative.

Love Justice International in Malawi works to combat human trafficking by intercepting victims before they are exploited, with 76% of those rescued being minors and 87% of them boys. With an estimated 50 million people worldwide trapped in modern slavery, their efforts—through transit monitoring, law enforcement partnerships, and a national shelter—provide safety, education, and a pathway to freedom for those at risk, all while boldly sharing the gospel and leading people to Jesus.

What are we
Half will go to the local church to fund the ministry activity of Port City Community Church.
We are seeing God to amazing things in the life of our church as people are becoming true disciples of Jesus and joining God in His redemptive work of bring His kingdom to earth as it is in Heaven. Our church is aimed toward reaching people and helping them walk with God. To do this, we need everyone that calls our church home to link arms together and pave the way financially for our church to make the impact God is calling us to make!
*If someone gives above or below $40, half will go to Love Justice and half to our local church's ministry activity! We want to keep this simple and one-hundred percent transparent!
The Meaning Behind
Giving 20/20
Biblical Inspiration for 20/20
The number twenty carries deep biblical significance:
The Hebrew Letter "Resh" (20th Letter) → Represents the head, where decisions are made.
The Hebrew Letter "Kaph" (11th Letter) → symbolizes open hands, a posture of surrender to God. A common symbol is open hands and ready feet (all ten fingers and all ten toes), which indicate being available to God and willing to follow His lead.
This imagery reminds us that when we love God with all our heart, mind, and strength, we develop an openness to trust Him—leading to joyful generosity.
Here are some other places in scripture where you can see God’s generosity and call for us to be a generous people!
Genesis 14:20 – Abram gives a tenth of everything to Melchizedek.
Numbers 20 – God provides water from the rock in Israel’s desperate hour.
Psalm 20 – "Some trust in chariots and horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God."
Matthew 20 – Jesus' parable reveals the generous heart of God.
Because of this consistent theme, we are using 20/20 as the framework for this movement of generosity in Overflow!

Support Love Justice’s Work in Malawi.
Join the mission to fight human trafficking and bring justice to the vulnerable people of Malawi, Africa.
Cultivate a Heart of Generosity and Discipleship.
Financial giving is an act of discipleship, forming us in the way of Jesus and teaching our hearts to trust God with everything, including our money.

We understand that financial giving can be a sensitive topic.
Here’s what we want you to know:
No guilt, no shame.
This is not about obligation—it’s about joyfully following Jesus. If you aren’t ready to begin giving, please don’t feel obligated or shame. This is just an invitation!
Start where you can.
If $40/month isn’t feasible, give at a level that fits your capacity! Every dollar matters; even giving $1 a month is a great place to start! We will be amazed by God’s capacity to multiply!
Support your local church.
If you call another church home, we encourage you to give consistently there! Especially if you are already giving there, please don’t stop giving there to begin giving here. If you feel called to go above and beyond, we honor you for that, but we do not want to take support from your local church.
